PD Dr. Johannes Gloeckner

Current projects:

Mass spectrometry-based quantification of 2,000-3,000 proteins by applying data-independent acquisition (DIA) methods on iPS cell-derived sub-proteomes (e.g. mitochondria. Identification of disease-associated pathways based on proteomic signatures specific to defined PD mutations.

Research focus:

Guilt-by-association” or a “Protein’s Facebook”: Learning from protein-protein interaction networks determined by affinity purification combined with quantitative mass spectrometry based on stable isotope labelling of amino acids in cell culture (SILAC) to identify specific interactors.

Furthermore:

  • Analysis of protein networks and disease biomarkers
  • Proteomics
  • Mass spectrometry
  • Biochemistry of disease proteins
  • Molecular neuroscience, parkinson’s disease
