Prof. Dr. Stefan Liebau
Current projects:
- Generation of patient specific and control iPS cells/Retinal organoids
- Characterization of cell populations and single cells with respect to CRB1 function and expression
Research interests:
Our groups aims for the development of new dish culture models of the human neurosensory systems, which can imitate the complexity of cells and even organs of a human being. In this course, we use human induced pluripotent stem cells (see here), allowing us to generate specific cells, tissues and even organ-like structures.
Research focus:
- Human induced pluripotent stem cells
- Neurosensory systems
- Retinal organoids
- Olfactory organoids
- Early human development
